Crisp County Landfill, Cells No. 6 & 7
Crisp County, Georgia  2000

Crisp County was expanding their existing landfill to continue to receive refuse.  The existing cell was filling up and additional space was required.

The expansion consisted of the construction and lining of a new cell adjacent to the existing cell.  This operation had to be performed without effecting on going daily operations.

The engineer specified the cell expansion to utilize a 60 mil smooth HDPE liner, which will cover the subgrade, a tie-in to the existing liner and the installation of 800 lf of berm flap.  Environmental Fabrics, Inc. also supplied and installed the 6” dia. leachate collection piping and sumps.

Environmental Fabrics, Inc. was selected to do the liner and leachate collection piping installation with installation commencing in June 2000.  The installation was accepted by both the QA company and the owner.  With the installation and acceptance completed, the new cell began receiving trash, permitting continuous operation at the landfill.
