Fisher & Arnold, Inc. was chosen for the process and civil design of the new Arlington Wastewater Treatment Plant in Arlington, Tennessee. Their design included plans for a 328,000 SF geosynthetic-lined Sludge Storage Lagoon. 60 mil textured HDPE was chosen for the liner material. Aerators were placed in the lagoon for treatment. The lagoons purpose is to treat sludge pumped from the SBR building.

Environmental Fabrics, Inc. of Gaston, SC was chosen for the geomembrane work on this project. The geomembrane work was started in late summer and was completed on schedule. The cell was placed in operation and the liner has functioned as designed with little required maintenance.
